KPD Group plans a new microdistrict in Dema for 43,500 residents, adding a cable car that will connect Dema to the Congress Hall in 13 minutes.

As the developer’s representative, sales department director Alexander Konovalov told journalists, work will start at the end of 2017‑2018. The 10‑year project includes not only residential construction; the company also intends to solve Dema’s transport problem.
A transport hub is planned, which will include a city commuter‑train station and intercept parking lots so residents can leave their cars and switch to public transport. According to Konovalov, there are working agreements to relocate the commuter‑train station closer to the road interchange and the future microdistrict.
Construction of a cable car is also planned, which will connect Dema with the Congress Hall. Travel time will be 13 minutes. The project cost is estimated at 750 million rubles. As Alexander Konovalov said, negotiations with investors are underway.
“We believe the cable car will perform a real transport function because there is no alternative. The cable car’s capacity replaces an additional road lane,” Konovalov noted.
Recall that Ufa has repeatedly discussed plans for a cable car. One line was to connect Sipailovo and October Avenue, another – the Belaya railway station and Zaton. A French company proposed the project, but it was not implemented. There were also plans for a “Metrobuss” by Turkish company Gursel and a private metro proposed by an entrepreneur from St. Petersburg.
